Accounting Manager

About The Role

The Accounting Manager oversees the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring strict compliance with US GAAP, SOX internal controls, and SEC reporting requirements. This role acts as a primary operational anchor, translating complex transactional data into accurate financial statements that drive corporate decision-making. This position partners closely with broader corporate finance, legal, and operational teams to scale accounting infrastructure. By refining internal controls and optimizing ledger workflows, the role ensures the integrity of financial reporting during periods of rapid corporate growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end and quarter-end close processes, including the review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses
• Prepare comprehensive financial statement packages and supporting schedules in compliance with US GAAP and SEC guidelines
• Maintain, evaluate, and strengthen the SOX 404 internal control environment, coordinating directly with external auditors for walkthroughs and testing
• Manage the integration and optimization of ERP workflows, specifically leveraging NetSuite and integrated billing sub-ledgers to automate manual reconciliations
• Research and document technical accounting positions on complex transactions, including revenue recognition under ASC 606 and lease accounting under ASC 842
• Collaborate with the FP&A team to explain budget-to-actual variances and provide accurate inputs for financial forecasting models

What We Are Looking For

• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining national public accounting (Big 4 preferred) with corporate accounting roles
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required
• Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting structures
• Hands-on administrative experience with mid-to-enterprise ERP systems, specifically NetSuite, alongside advanced Excel capabilities (SQL proficiency is a plus)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a highly related quantitative field
• Bonus: Prior experience managing accounting transitions in a high-growth technology or SaaS environment, or direct experience with ASC 606 implementation
