What you’ll do:
- Accounting Leadership: Manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple business entities, ensuring payroll, payables, receivables, cash tracking, and related accounting functions are handled accurately and efficiently.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure the production of clean, consistent financial reports and provide monthly insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify profitability trends, cost-saving opportunities, operational risks, and areas for improved financial performance.
- Forecasting and Planning: Support forecasting efforts and improve financial planning processes to give leadership stronger visibility into cash flow, revenue, expenses, and future business needs.
- KPI and Metrics Development: Develop and maintain KPI frameworks, dashboards, and reporting tools that support data-driven decision-making.
- Team Management: Supervise and support accounting team members or external accounting resources, ensuring work is completed accurately, timely, and in alignment with company standards.
- System Improvements: Optimize accounting processes, improve internal controls, strengthen month-end close procedures, and identify ways to reduce manual work, errors, and inefficiencies.
What we’re looking for:
- Degree Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Experience Required: 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory experience favored.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks and expert-level Excel capabilities are essential for success.
- Analytical Ability: Strong skillset in financial analysis, cost accounting, and profitability assessments is expected.
- Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated ability to manage a team and drive change through strategic financial insights.
- Mindset: A proactive, outcomes-driven approach with an ownership mentality is key to thriving in this role.
- KPI Focus: Ability to develop and track performance metrics to foster a results-oriented culture within the firm.
