About the role
The Accounting Manager will oversee and support key accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and billing. They will lead month-end close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting. Additionally, they will assist with annual audits and compliance requirements, manage bank reconciliations, cash receipts, collections, and related accounting processes. The role involves supervising and developing the accounting team, identifying process improvements, and partnering with leadership on financial planning, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and billing functions.
- Lead month-end close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with multiple annual audits and compliance requirements.
- Manage bank reconciliations, cash receipts, collections, and related accounting processes.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Partner with leadership on financial planning, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of general accounting, financial reporting, AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Experience supervising or leading accounting staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
