Accounting Manager Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including the general ledger and financial reporting

Manage month-end and year-end close processes and ensure reporting deadlines are met

Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and funder financial reporting

Lead audit preparation, Form 990 support, and regulatory compliance activities

Supervise, mentor, and develop finance staff

What We're Looking For in an Accounting Manager

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• Nonprofit accounting experience required
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes
• Prior leadership experience managing finance/accounting teams
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, audits, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
