Job Responsibilities
- Lead month end, quarter end, and year end close activities, including review of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Maintain the general ledger and monitor account activity to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Cook up audit support activities by providing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
- Partner with internal departments to support business initiatives, financial processes, and operational reporting.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- An active CPA license.
- Previous experience in accounting leadership or senior level accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting, and close processes.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex accounting activities accurately.
- Proven ability to mentor, support, and develop accounting team members.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a process improvement mindset.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with stakeholders across the organization.
- Previous experience in multi entity, multi location, hospitality, retail, or similar environments.
