Accounting Manager

Accounting GL Manager Location: Greater Phoenix, AZ | Hybrid Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Accounting GL Manager to oversee general ledger operations, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring GAAP compliance, strengthening internal controls, and supporting process improvements. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with leadership skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a multi-entity environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.Ensure the accuracy of financial statements, balance sheet accounts, and the chart of accounts.Partner with Treasury on cash positioning, bank reconciliations, and banking-related accounting activities.Manage fixed asset accounting, accruals, intercompany transactions, and financial analysis.Review financial results, investigate variances, and recommend process improvements.Support budgeting, internal controls, compliance reviews, and internal and external audits.Maintain accurate financial documentation and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.Lead and support accounting team members, manage competing priorities, and ensure deadlines are met.Collaborate cross-functionally on accounting initiatives, reporting requests, and special projects.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.Seven to ten years of progressive accounting experience required.Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.Experience in a multi-entity organization preferred.Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close.Experience with fixed assets, banking reconciliations, and internal controls.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with Salesforce, Avsight, or Microsoft 365 preferred.CPA or MBA preferred.
