About the role
We are seeking a high-caliber Accounting Manager to join our growing finance team, reporting to the Director of Accounting. This role is located in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, monthly/quarterly/annual close processes
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
- Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), responsible for Fixed Assets, inventory and other core operational accounting processes
- Prepare, review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements
- Manage and optimize the close calendar to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent reporting
- Manage bank transactions and serve as a backup for payroll processing
- Ensure a structured, efficient close process with a goal of completing month-end within 5–7 business days
- Manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities while meeting internal and external deadlines
- Systems & Process Improvement: Assist in implementation of the chosen accounting tools, initiate process improvements using AI tools; Enhance documentation, standard operating procedures, automation, and internal workflows to reduce manual errors, increase transparency, and support scalability; Support integrations of key systems such as expense reimbursement, credit cards, banking and HRIS
- Compliance & Special Projects: Provide timely supports for annual and interim financial audits; Monitor evolving compliance requirements; Support special projects tied to business expansion, cost accounting, or new policy implementation
- Career Development: Coordinate effectively with offshore team members and contribute to global process alignment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, degree in accounting preferred
- CPA is preferred; candidates with sufficient accounting coursework to meet CPA eligibility will also be considered
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including related experience in a complex or high-growth environment
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting; experience with IFRS preferred
- Working knowledge of NetSuite preferred
- Exceptional Excel and analytical skills; experience with reporting tools and dashboards a plus
- Prioritized, and delivered under tight deadlines
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver under tight deadlines
- Experience working with offshore teams and/or in international or multi-entity environments
- Direct experience contributing to a 5-day close process
