Accounting Manager

About the role

Alliance for Empowerment, Parent Company of Able2 and Capabilities has a Full-time Accounting Manager opening. This is more than a numbers role; it’s a chance to make a real impact behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including oversight of AP/AR, purchasing and payroll
• Responsible for general ledger maintenance and journal entry preparation for month-end and year-end close
• Prepare monthly financial statements plus annual operating and capital budgets
• Lead the annual audit and oversee the preparation of the Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR)
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, grants, and regulatory requirements
• Strengthen internal controls and continuously improve financial processes
• Partner with leadership to support strategic decision-making
• Supervise 4 accounting staff and support the Chief Financial Officer

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or business related field, required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience; nonprofit experience strongly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of direct supervisory experience
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture

Pay

The pay range for the position is $70,000 - $75,000.
