Responsibilities
- Lead key areas of the monthly close process, including preparation and review of corporate and intercompany journal entries.
- Oversee payroll-related accounting, including payroll journal entries, tax postings, and related reconciliations.
- Manage fixed asset accounting and other assigned general ledger responsibilities.
- Review and approve bank and balance sheet account reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Maintain and enhance account reconciliation processes and related systems.
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members, providing guidance and support for day-to-day operations.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process and provide financial reporting and analysis as needed.
- Partner with internal and external auditors to support audit requests and ensure compliance.
- Help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience within the healthcare industry.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
