About the role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accounting Lead to join our growing finance team. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external auditors to provide valuable insights to support business operations. You will help to maintain an accounting policy manual on new accounting standards issued by the authorities to determine the impact on the company and implement new accounting standards, as required. You will be responsible for general accounting functions across USDS JV entities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily activities of accounting operations across USDS JV entities.
- Effectively lead the accounting team to deliver month-end close and quarterly reporting.
- Analyze complex business transactions and provide accounting treatment evaluation in compliance with local and international accounting standards (US GAAP & IFRS).
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requests, and aid in the research and analysis of audit issues raised.
- Experience in revenue related accounting and operations.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting standards, and assess operational implications for any relevant changes.
- Partner with the JV related parties' accounting/reporting teams to operationalize the accounting related to complex transactions.
- Work closely with FP&A, tax and other internal teams to ensure compliance with the U.S. GAAP and internal policies through effective communications and be able to translate/apply GAAP/international policies to operationalize complex accounting issues, including assessing the design and/or effectiveness of internal controls.
- Work with the USDS Finance Lead on cross-functional special projects, including automation, policy updates, system improvements, and internal control enhancements.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders, translating accounting implications into business-friendly language, and vise versa.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and active CPA Certification.
- 5+ years of experience in financial statements auditing, financial accounting or similar experience.
- Analytical skills with dataset, including experience in Excel.
- Prior experience in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) industry.
- Experience working with business partners and engineers to effect changes.
- Experience in optimizing or re-designing existing processes resulting from business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Financial reporting (US GAAP & IFRS), basic knowledge of tax provision.
- System implementation experience.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $129,000 - $307,200 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
