Accounting Lead - PCO

Job Responsibilities

• Provide financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget.
• Advise executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
• Review and prepare financial data, transactions and reports, including ad-hoc data requests for executive leadership.
• Partner with other areas across the organization to ensure accurate reporting of our financials.
• Review monthly close and approved journal entries.
• Develop methods and criteria for measuring and summarizing financial data and preparing complex analyses.
• Analyze payer agnostic medical data for trends and financial impact.
• Present markets with monthly financial performance and trend insights.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years with general accounting/monthly close process.
• 2 or more years of leadership experience.
• Excel proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in business administration.
• Prior experience within the healthcare industry.
• Certified Public Accountant license.
• Familiarity with Healthcare income statements and MLR (medical loss ratios).
• SQL and Essbase.
• Healthcare claims reserving and development.
