Accounting Intern, Exploration & Production (E&P)

Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS) is a leading provider of project, asset management, commercial, and operational services to the power generation, exploration & production (E&P), and midstream sectors of the energy industry. We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Intern to join our dynamic finance team in Houston, TX. This role offers hands-on experience in corporate accounting, financial analysis, and reporting, providing an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to CAMS’ financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, ensure proper recording of transactions, and support senior accountants in preparing critical financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• Assist in analyzing costs, revenues, and financial commitments to forecast future performance and support strategic decision-making.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts monthly, and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain accurate financial records.
• Develop and deliver a comprehensive presentation to the CEO and leadership team, summarizing key projects, financial insights, and recommendations based on
