Accounting Intern

Key Responsibilities

• Attend accounting team meetings as an observer to gain an understanding of the work being performed by the accounting team.
• Learn the fundamentals of a month end close process, including processing of journal entries, creation of trial balances and financial statements.
• Learn how to prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and assist the accounting team in preparing certain account reconciliations.
• Learn how to prepare a bank reconciliation and assist the accounting team in preparing bank reconciliations.
• Absorb various data comparison assignments to understand the data in a general ledger system.
• Observe other key meetings that are held to review monthly results with our North America and global finance teams to understand how results are assessed after accounting closes the books for the month.
