ACCOUNTING INSTRUCTOR

About the role

Cleveland State Community College is a comprehensive, two-year post-secondary institution located in Cleveland, Tennessee, committed to open access and quality education. The Accounting department seeks a Faculty Accounting Instructor on a 9‑month tenure‑track basis to teach and support student learning across the college’s five‑county service area, including on‑site, online, and hybrid formats.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach classes as assigned in accordance with course descriptions, syllabi, departmental guidelines, and approved instructional formats (on‑site throughout the five‑county service area and online delivery as applicable).
• Fulfill all instructional requirements of Cleveland State Community College and the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR).
• Remain current in the instructional field and effective teaching methodologies.
• Devote a minimum of 37.5 hours per week to the institution, maintain appropriate office hours, and obtain approval for any commitments that may affect employment responsibilities.
• Be accessible to students for advising, academic assistance, and support based on the instructional format.
• Participate in institutional and academic unit meetings.
• Maintain and safeguard all required records and report grades as prescribed
