Accounting/Finance Manager

About the role

The Accounting & Finance Manager will oversee the month-end close process, financial reporting, consolidations, and day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, experience within the import/export industry, and the ability to communicate effectively in both Mandarin and English.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements
• Lead general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to leadership
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Aid with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
• Cook up and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies
• Collaborate with domestic and international business partners

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Fully fluent in Mandarin and English
• Import/export industry experience
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities
• Strong experience with month-end close and financial reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial reporting
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Qualifications

• Strong experience preparing consolidated financial statements
• Experience with Sage Accounting/ERP systems preferred
• Experience in a multi-entity or international business environment
• Inventory and distribution accounting experience a plus

Skills

• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
• Fluent in Mandarin (required)
• Import/Export industry experience (required)
