Accounting Expert

About the role

AfterQuery is seeking Accounting professionals to create and evaluate accounting reasoning challenges for our AI training modules. In this remote, flexible role, you will design realistic accounting scenarios — journal-entry logic, close processes, reporting judgments — that test an AI model’s ability to reason through accounting work accurately.

Responsibilities

• Develop accounting scenarios, reporting exercises, and close-process cases that challenge AI models
• Evaluate and validate model responses for technical accuracy under GAAP/IFRS
• Collaborate with accounting and technical experts to calibrate difficulty and coverage

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience in general or technical accounting
• Strong command of GAAP and financial reporting
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• CPA or comparable credential
• Experience across industries or public accounting
• Familiarity with major ERP/accounting systems is a plus
