Accounting Consultant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounting Policy Consultant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $100.00 to $125.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities Serve as a technical accounting advisor by evaluating complex transactions, business initiatives, and organizational changes for financial reporting implications. Research, analyze, and document accounting conclusions related to new investments, acquisitions, entity structures, and other significant business activities. Lead the assessment and implementation of new accounting standards, regulatory guidance, and reporting requirements. Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards. Drive process improvement, automation, and efficiency initiatives while supporting cross-functional teams on strategic projects. Requirements A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Public accounting background with strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience. Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accounting research methodologies, and complex accounting transactions. Previous experience evaluating consolidations, business combinations, investments, and other technical accounting matters. Ability to prepare detailed accounting analyses and communicate conclusions to leadership and key stakeholders. Qualifications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex accounting guidance and apply sound professional judgment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting technical concepts to both financial and non-financial audiences. Prior experience supporting audits, regulatory reporting requirements, and accounting policy development. Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives, leverage technology, and enhance reporting efficiencies.
