Accounting Associate

About the role

Born from founder Thomas Turner's passion for bringing underground music to Arizona, Relentless Beats is now one of the Southwest's most prolific independent music promoters. Producing over 400 events annually and featuring nearly 500 unique artists, Relentless Beats delivers everything from intimate club shows to marquee festivals like Goldrush Music Festival, PHXLIGHTS, Body Language, DUSK, Decadence AZ, and more.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, payments, and purchase orders accurately and on time
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Apply and track customer payments; assist with collections on past-due accounts
• Prepare weekly and monthly APIAR aging reports
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support month-end close activities, reconciliations, and ad hoc reporting
• Collaborate with internal teams and adhere to company accounting policies

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, AP, or AR role
• Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred
• Background in live events, entertainment, or hospitality preferred

Pay & Schedule

Full-time
Pay range: $17-26 per hour, based on education/training and experience
Location: Phoenix, AZ (in-office in downtown Phoenix; hybrid eligible after introductory period)
