Primary Duties
- Preparing tax returns and/or extensions for individuals, nonprofits, partnerships, corporations and trusts
- Year end tax projections
- Tax Research
- Generating trial balances and financial statements
- Creating financial plans and strategies for desired financial goals
- Guiding and advising clients on accounting matters
- Responding to IRS and other taxing authority notices
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA license
- Proficiency in both tax and accounting related computer software (experience with CCH Axcess, QuickBooks, and Drake Software is a plus)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with other members of the firm
- Completion of Advanced Certification with VITA
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines and prioritize assignments
