About the Role
The Accounting Assistant works within financial systems after successful completion of training, in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Prior bookkeeping experience preferred
- Data entry experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Manage financial data for multiple locations (34)
- Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Knowledgeable of administration practices and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing administration functions in post-acute care facilities
- Ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the administration department
- Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: accounts payable, payroll, business office support, patient rights, and safety and sanitation
- Maintain professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
- Display integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and complete mandatory training

- Lift 20 lbs from floor to waist, lift 20 lbs from waist to shoulder, lift and carry 20 lbs, and push/pull 20 lbs
