Accounting Analyst - Fixed Assets

Ensure accurate recording of fixed assets and adherence to company capital-purchase policies.

Responsibilities

• Review completed projects in POPA for accuracy and prepare CIP (Construction in Progress) files for loading into the Fixed Asset system.
• Reconcile GL accounts.
• Ensure store asset audits are performed every 5 years.
• Prepare project entries to ensure correct recording of invoices.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Document financial transactions by entering account information and substantiate them by auditing documents when needed.
• Maintain financial security by ensuring internal controls and SOX controls are followed.
• Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with requirements, policies, and regulations by enforcing adherence to corporate controls and policies.
• Assist with the set-up of assets.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associates degree in accounting or related field preferred; other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
• One to two years of accounting experience preferred.
• Computer literate in MS Excel and Access.
• Ability to organize and prioritize detailed information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with other departments.
• Experience working with POPA, PDI, and/or FAS software is a plus.
