Accounting Analyst

Responsibilities

• Calculate product revenues and associated gas purchase costs, and record all transactions in the accounting system to ensure accurate gross margins for assigned gas processing plants.
• Analyze operational reports and collaborate with the commercial group to resolve questions and issues related to revenue and cost of sales for assigned facilities.
• Review new contracts and verify the setup of appropriate calculations to generate monthly gas purchase statements and financial settlements in compliance with contractual terms.
• Analyze account balances and gross margin account activity at month-end, prepare account reconciliations, margin analysis, and SOX documentation.
• Actively participate in special projects as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of public accounting or operational accounting experience; Senior Analyst should have 3–5 years.
• Prior energy industry experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of operating agreements and gas processing/purchase contracts.
• Experience in midstream gas accounting is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Financials and Waterfield settlement systems.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced team environment with limited supervision.
