Accounting Analyst

About the role
The Accounting Analyst maintains the company’s financials, ensuring accurate and timely processing of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financials. This role supports the accounting team, assists the executive team with departmental budgets, and may require occasional travel.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze financial data for short- and long-range planning.
- Enhance existing reports to improve accuracy.
- Prepare monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Perform daily cash applications to accounts receivable journal entries.
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
- Support fellow accounting staff with overflow tasks.
- Prepare and/or review accounting records, financial statements, and reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standard operating practices.
- Handle intercompany invoicing and reconciliation.
- Assist in month-end closing and review.
- Prepare audit schedules and reports for year-end audits as requested by auditors.
- Assist with additional third-party audits and other ad-hoc assignments.
- Perform additional duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned by the CAO, Treasurer, or Controller.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field of study (required).
- 1-2 years of accounting experience (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Excel (required).
- NetSuite or other accounting software experience (required).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong work ethic.

Pay
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $76,900–$87,500 annually. Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and state of residence.
Physical Requirements
This is a stationary position requiring frequent sitting (approximately 95%), repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It may also require occasional standing, lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs, walking, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, and reaching above the shoulder.
