Accounting Analyst
Salary: $65K – $75K DOE
About the role
Join a legacy food manufacturing company as an Accounting Analyst, where you’ll play a key role in keeping customer accounts accurate, efficient, and moving in the right direction. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, you’ll take ownership of billing, collections, deductions, and accounts receivable, while managing customer accounts across each area. You’ll bring a sharp eye to the numbers and a thoughtful approach to resolving issues, identifying trends, and keeping processes moving smoothly. This is a role for someone who enjoys digging into the details but also knows when there’s a better way to do things. You’ll use your analytical skills to evaluate credit history and account data, identify opportunities to streamline processes, and help ensure the team has the information it needs to make sound decisions. This is a fully on-site opportunity in downtown Vancouver.
Responsibilities
- Manage billing, collections, deductions, and accounts receivable
- Oversee customer accounts across various accounting functions
- Analyze credit history and account data to identify trends and resolve issues
- Streamline processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Provide analytical support to ensure sound decision-making
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience in collections and associated functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred but not required
