ACCOUNTANT/TAX EXPERT

About the role

As an Accountant at Oostboek, you’ll collaborate with diverse clients to shape their financial narrative—personally, accurately, and proactively. You’ll participate in client meetings, provide advisory support, and leverage your tax expertise to guide our bookkeepers in delivering flawless dossiers. Our fully digital system streamlines your work, focusing on tasks our accountants love.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain digital bookkeeping for multiple client dossiers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with clients to request missing information and address their financial or tax-related questions (e.g., optimal vehicle purchases, salary optimization).
• Prepare and review tax returns and financial data.
• Plan and conduct client meetings, including on-site discussions about annual financial results and specific queries.
• Support colleagues on complex dossiers and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee and guide bookkeeping colleagues to maintain high-quality standards.
• Perform end-of-week checks on client dossiers and finalize pending action items.

Requirements

• Hold a diploma in Accountancy or Taxation.
• Have relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrate a proactive, hands-on approach with a human-centered mindset.
• Possess enthusiasm, coaching skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Show eagerness to develop professionally, learn continuously, and grow within the team.
• Excel in organization, precision, and communication.
