About the role
Performs advanced, professional accounting functions that support the integrity of the university's financial reporting and accounting operations.
Responsibilities
- Support state appropriations, cash and investment accounting activities
- Oversee daily payment processing
- Reconcile financial data between the university's general ledger and the Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS)
- Participate in year-end financial reporting for the Annual Financial Report (AFR)
- Ensure compliance with governmental GAAP, State of Texas requirements, and other applicable accounting standards and regulations
