About the Role

Dedicated to improving quality of life for the people of Oklahoma through science-based information and education. The Division is comprised of the Ferguson College of Agriculture and two state agencies: the Oklahoma Agricultural Experiment Station and the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service. The successful candidate will lead and manage the Financial Services Team, providing financial services and completing financial processes for assigned units and departments. Responsibilities include compiling, interpreting, and reporting financial data, advising Department Heads, faculty, and staff on account status, and collaborating on budget development and control. This role involves close collaboration with faculty, staff, students, other Financial Services Team Managers, and various Financial and Operations areas within the DASNR fiscal affairs unit.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Financial Services Team in providing financial services for assigned units and departments.
  • Compile, interpret, and report financial data for served departments.
  • Advise Department Heads, faculty, and staff on the status of departmental accounts.
  • Collaborate with Department Heads on budget development and control.
  • Work closely with faculty, staff, students, Financial Services Team members, and other Financial and Operations areas within DASNR fiscal affairs.
  • Interact daily with staff, faculty, Department Heads, DASNR financial personnel, and university personnel in Accounting and Purchasing.
  • Maintain regular contact with outside vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (must be conferred by the start date).
  • Five years of related experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to learn QuickBooks and the OSU financial system.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for daily interaction with staff, faculty, Department Heads, and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.

Pay

$54,000 - $68,100

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends.
