Accountant II

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepares, examines and analyzes records, financial statements and reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Prepares reports used by the Director of External Reporting in the Form 10-K, Form 10Q, quarterly work papers, annual audit reports and Statement of Financial Condition.
• Communicate with other departments regarding accounting functions.
• Completes monthly reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts.
• Processes journal entries associated with assigned general ledger accounts.
• Completes ad hoc requests as needed by Accounting management.

About the Role

Under general supervision, the Accountant II prepares financial reports and analyzes financial information to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the company.

What We're Looking For

Must be analytical, detail oriented, and able to use logic and reason to identify solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems. Solid knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting field. Solid knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other standard office procedures and terminology. Solid analytical skills and reliable mathematical knowledge.

Education & Experience

• Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum Required: 2-4 years related experience

Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
