Accountant II

Responsibilities

• Prepares and posts general ledger entries in conjunction with monthly closing processes and reconciles general ledger accounts.
• Administration and maintenance of sub ledgers and processes including financial and statistical information.
• Interacts with internal and external auditors on a routine basis.
• Assists with general ledger analysis including account reconciliations, monthly and period end closing, ad-hoc reporting and analysis, and year-end audit schedules.
• Ensures departmental and organizational compliance with current accounting standards, hospital policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Experience in accounting is required.
• Ability to function proactively in a demanding environment is required.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Experience with Foundation and Grants is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office [Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Word] and work proficiently in an ERP computerized system.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. Master's degree is preferred.
• Certification: CPA is preferred.
• Years of relevant experience: 3 years of experience is required; prefer at least 5 years of experience.
• Years of experience supervising: None.
