Accountant - Animal Nutrition

About the role

Land O'Lakes is hiring an Accountant to join the Animal Nutrition accounting team. The position is located at the corporate headquarters in Arden Hills, MN and requires on‑site work on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month‑end close process by preparing journal entries.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations.
• Analyze balance‑sheet accounts to ensure proper financial reporting.
• Work with various business segments to research and resolve issues.
• Ensure timely resolution of reconciliation items.
• Handle various other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
• Perform essential accounting processes focusing on cash for the Animal Nutrition and WinField United business segments.
• Account for the Purina Research Farm and WinField United counter sales.
• Manage tonnage taxes and other general accounting areas supporting the Animal Nutrition business segment.
• Partner with Treasury, Cash Applications, Accounts Receivable/Credit, and Accounts Payable functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft products.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.

Pay

$61,360 – $92,040. In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of the salary range.

Schedule

On‑site work required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week; other days may be remote.
