Account Technician

About the role

Monroe County’s Finance Department is seeking a detail-oriented, organized Account Technician to provide fiscal support services to the Human Services Department programs and the Finance Department. This position involves purchasing items as authorized by Program Supervisors in accordance with purchasing policies, compiling documentation for agency credit card purchases, troubleshooting and resolving order-related concerns, and assisting with report preparation for internal staff to help manage programs.

Requirements

• Two-year degree in Accounting or a business-related field (bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Minimum of two years of financial experience in business, industry, or government (county or municipal) preferred
• Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates comparable knowledge and abilities will also be considered

Pay

Starting salary: $21.09 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
