Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day workflow of a minimum of 4-5 client accounts while driving consistent, high-quality media results and providing regular account updates to the Director, Senior Director and/or Vice President
  • Review, and approve agendas, press releases, media pitches, recaps, activity reports, clip books, and other client-facing and internal materials
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact and act as the client lead when appropriate, proactively addressing client needs and resolving issues effectively
  • Develop and execute strategic press campaigns that support brand initiatives, including openings, special events, product and category launches, and other key milestones, while identifying new media opportunities throughout the year
  • Create and manage client communications calendars in partnership with senior leadership and account teams to support integrated business objectives across all channels
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to develop and execute integrated communications strategies
  • Build, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts to secure impactful and meaningful coverage
  • Develop strategic communications plans, including media opportunities, messaging, tactics, and timelines aligned with overall client objectives
  • Advise clients on public relations strategy and collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute strategic media plans
  • Mentor and provide leadership to junior team members by overseeing account workflow, offering guidance, and ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Contribute to new business development by preparing proposals, timelines, presentations, and case studies, while assisting in identifying new business opportunities
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative, strategic communications ideas and campaigns for clients

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in public relations or related fields, including advertising, management consulting, media, or publishing
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Prior agency experience with a proven track record of managing client accounts and delivering successful communications strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large-scale projects, budgets, and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Experience leading and mentoring small teams while fostering collaboration and professional development
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic communications plans that align with client business objectives
  • Strong judgment with the ability to delegate effectively, review and edit the work of others, and maintain high-quality deliverables
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
