Overview
HUNTER is searching for an Account Supervisor who is responsible for the execution and management of client programs with a strong emphasis on strategic media relations. This role requires someone who is media savvy, culturally aware, and can conduct media relations in both Spanish and English. You will coordinate and implement projects, regularly interface with clients, and serve as a mentor and inspiration to junior account team members.
Responsibilities
- Drive effective implementation of client PR programs with a focus on media relations and earned media outcomes
- Cultivate and leverage relationships with key contacts at traditional and social-first outlets to secure high-impact coverage
- Stay current with media trends, platform changes, and emerging storytelling opportunities to keep client campaigns innovative and relevant
- Manage people and projects to deliver high quality results on-time and on-budget
- Anticipate issues and develop proactive solutions
- Serve as a mentor and inspiration to Account Coordinators and junior team members, providing guidance on media relations, client management, and career development
- Delegate and assign work among team members in a way that develops their skills and builds confidence
- Actively coach and provide informal/formal feedback to help develop and retain talent
- Foster a collaborative team environment where junior staff feel supported and challenged to grow
- Serve as a representative of the client and agency; maintain strong relationships with key client personnel
- Understand clients' business and relevant industry trends; use the information to develop strategic PR ideas
- Make recommendations for ways to meet client needs and grow client accounts
- Participate in client calls, meetings, presentations, and brainstorms
- Respond to requests for information from clients in a timely manner
- Provide analysis to clients of program results
- Regularly monitor budgets to ensure execution is staying on-budget and report status to account leads
- Attend client events and serve as on-site representative
- Participate in agency brainstorm sessions for client programs
- Research & compile presentations for new business and business renewal proposals
- Actively participate in agency committees or departments as designated
- Develop and foster relationships with suppliers
- Represent the agency in professional associations
Requirements
- Deep understanding of media landscape (traditional, digital, social, influencer) with ability to identify and execute strategic media opportunities
- Ability to inspire and develop junior staff, particularly Account Coordinators; comfortable serving as a role model for career growth
- Fluency in Spanish preferred; ability to communicate across diverse audiences and cultures
- Understand clients' business and industry; develop innovative, media-forward PR ideas
- Manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality
- Demonstrate strong writing, editing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable in fast-paced environment; stay current with media trends and platform changes
- Build trust with clients; anticipate needs and respond proactively
- Ability to travel to client and event locations; meet with clients at their office locations/headquarters
Qualifications
- B.A. in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field
- 4 to 6 years experience in a public relations agency, media relations, or similar position
- Demonstrated media savvy with strong knowledge of traditional and emerging media landscapes
- Spanish language proficiency (bilingual capability strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience using AI to drive efficiency

Pay
The target range of base compensation for this role is $85,000-100,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
