Responsible for leading account and technical sales activities and CRM (customer relationship management) to drive business growth in conjunction with the coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Tactical and operational planning with the coordinator and Domestic Sales team in Headquarters to determine primary objectives within regional CDP
- Develops long-term and short-term business plans with CDP (Customer Development Plan)
- Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by company management in accordance with KPIs
- Develops and implements account strategies aligned with company and product line goals
- Leads execution of account sales activities to grow in the US Automotive market
- Leads negotiation with key customers on commercial issues (price, annual cost reduction, LTA, obsolescence, ECR cost, etc.) in collaboration with global cross-functional teams
- Develops productive business relationships with key, cross-functional personnel across all levels of assigned customers
- Manages programs/projects through the full commercial lifecycle (RFQ phase to mass production and EOP), including engineering change management for commercial and timing impact
- Conducts market research, analyzes trends, and gathers VOC (voice of customer) to identify new opportunities
- Monitors and reports sales performance to the coordinator and Domestic Sales team in HQ, tracking revenue, pipeline development, customer satisfaction, and claims
- Analyzes sales data to identify trends, evaluate performance, and implement corrective actions
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in an account and technical sales assistant manager position at a Tier 1 supplier to OEM (Hyundai, Kia, etc. preferred)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, operations) to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives
- Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, including market analysis, sales forecasting, and pricing strategies
- Experience with product management (Business Development) or program management is a plus
- Proficiency with MS Office and SAP
- Knowledge of commercial issue management (pre-production components, contract negotiations, purchase orders, pricing, tooling, engineering changes, supply chain development)
- Ability to conduct market research and analyze data effectively
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, program management, and presentation skills
- Willingness to communicate and collaborate with other regions and locations
- Able to lift 25 pounds
