About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to develop and expand customer relationships within our Public Sector business. This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys a consultative selling approach, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to build a long-term career within the technology industry.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 20-25 outbound calls per day to assigned accounts to build relationships and identify business opportunities.
  • Develop and grow existing customer accounts while uncovering new opportunities within your territory.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend IT solutions, services, and programs that deliver value and efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by educating customers on Public Sector technology trends and industry best practices.
  • Prepare, present, and manage competitive pricing proposals and quotes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendor partners, and subject matter experts to support customer success.
  • Maintain accurate account activity and pipeline management.
  • Travel occasionally (approximately 2-3 times annually) for customer meetings, industry events, and relationship-building opportunities.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing roles.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to achieving goals and delivering results.

Qualifications

  • Experience selling technology, IT products, software, hardware, cloud solutions, or related services.
  • Familiarity with Public Sector customers, including State & Local Government, Education, or Federal agencies.
  • Experience managing customer accounts and growing long-term business relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, operations, and support teams.

Pay

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $44,500.00 - $75,600.00 per year. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, including primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

At Ingram Micro, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives, and long-term incentives. These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.

Compensation plan includes a competitive base salary plus commission (70/30 base-to-variable structure).

Schedule

Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
