About the role
This position supports the Wholesale business and is based in our LIC office, requiring on-site work. The responsibilities described are essential functions of the role.
Responsibilities
- Assist in month-end closing by ensuring all appropriate information is entered into the computer and reviewing/updating the current aging report for discrepancies and finance charges.
- Research and respond to all accounts receivable inquiries promptly.
- Review and verify payment deductions.
- Conduct research on chargebacks and process credit memos.
- Research credit applications, notify customers of approval/disapproval status, and document pertinent credit information in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform daily research of unapplied and unidentified payments.
- Respond to customer inquiries and work with inter-departments to obtain necessary documents for chargebacks.
- Assist the Department Manager/Director on special projects.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting on past-due invoices and chargebacks.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines with available support and resources.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- College Degree in Accounting is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience.
- Prior Wholesale experience.
- 1-2 years of collection/chargeback experience.
- AS400 experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Pay
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $24.00 - $26.00 per hour. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and organizational structure.
