About the Role

The Customer Service Accounting Representative (CSAR) is responsible for working with customers face to face, via phone or email, handling collections, and allocating payments. This full-time, hourly position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within a leading supplier of flooring and surface products in North America.

Responsibilities

  • Effective and efficient handling of customer transactions.
  • Responsible for billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
  • Accurately record and maintain customer contact information and details.
  • Build and maintain company customer relationships.
  • Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls.
  • Consistent follow-up on promises and commitments in a timely manner with customers.
  • Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc.
  • Investigate customer queries and find solutions as necessary.
  • Appropriately identify and escalate customer issues.
  • Complete sales transactions and processing of payments.
  • Partner with Sales Representatives to keep account transactions up to date.
  • Practice customer focus, collaboration, and communication with the team.
  • Retain up-to-date knowledge of company products and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required and/or requested.

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written English language communication skills.
  • Two (2) plus years’ experience in Accounts Receivable.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Excellent accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience with the use of PCs, along with the ability to navigate in a multi-window based environment.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Schedule

Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, 2 Saturdays a month from 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM.

Pay

This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $20 to $23 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $45,000 and $52,000 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
