Account Payable and Receivable Bookkeeper

Job Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including posting payments and customer account maintenance
- Post checks, cash receipts, ACH transactions, interest entries, corrections and adjustments
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Create and process check vouchers while ensuring proper account coding and allocations
- Prepare checks for approval and distribute approved payments
- Maintain vendor files, including w-9 forms and supporting documentation
- Aid with budget tracking, expense verification and financial reporting activities
- Process recurring accounting transactions such as prepaid expenses, depreciation, insurance entries and pool payments
- Generate statements, revenue reports and supporting documentation for monthly reporting
- Respond to accounting inquiries and assist with daily finance department operations
- Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field preferred
- A year or more of previous bookkeeping, accounting, accounts payable or accounts receivable experience preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations and general ledger activity
- Excellent analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-starter with the initiative to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills highly preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks, MIP Fund Accounting or similar accounting software preferred

Pay
Starting Pay Range is $17.00 to $23.00 an hour DOE (Depending on Experience)
Schedule
Work Schedule is day shift office hours, working Monday to Friday with evenings and weekends off
