Account Merchandiser
About the role
The Account Merchandiser (AM) plays a crucial role in the retail team, focusing on stocking and merchandising beverage products under the Buffalo Rock portfolio. This position involves driving to and from customer sites, servicing accounts according to Buffalo Rock Standards and Franchise Policies, and communicating with the Distribution Center and Retail Sales Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Sell in new products, manage incremental displays, and utilize additional merchandising space.
- Drive to and from customer sites to service assigned accounts.
- Service all assigned accounts according to Buffalo Rock Standards and Franchise Policy.
- Develop and maintain positive professional customer relationships.
- Communicate all transshipping activity in accordance with Buffalo Rock policy and procedures.
- Notify the Distribution Center and Retail Sales Supervisor of any changes to existing accounts, including ownership or closure.
- Complete all required paperwork to Company Policy and timeline.
- Maintain compliance with Customer Display Audit (CDA) standards.
- Communicate daily with the Distribution Center and Retail Sales Supervisor regarding product shortages, returns, refused orders, changes to delivery schedules, account information changes, or operational issues.
- Achieve required % of Strategic Execution Objectives.
- Execute and achieve all account program key objectives.
- Rotate products in accordance with Buffalo Rock Policy and Procedures.
- Prepare pallets, trays, damaged product, and returns for pick-up at each account.
- Aid in reporting competitive activity, achieving sales goals, and promoting Buffalo Rock’s Purpose and Core Values.
- Attend all scheduled meetings requiring your presence and / or participation.
- Adhere to customer policies for vendors or suppliers, including business conduct, ethics, legal, and delivery policies.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation for business use with required insurance coverage. You must also have a smart phone device and be able to manually manipulate, grasp, reach, lift, carry, stand, walk, sit, squat, kneel, and climb as needed. Prior experience is not required.
Skills
- High level of ethical and moral conduct.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of customer display audit standards.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Motus and Timeclock Plus.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The schedule for this position may require additional hours not scheduled, and flexibility is essential. Positions may require occasional overtime and weekend work.
