About the role
Hunting Dearborn is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Account Manager who delivers sales results through mutually beneficial relationships and customer expectations. The role involves discovering and solidifying business opportunities, coordinating service delivery, setting stakeholder expectations, and ensuring internal quality guidelines are met. Account Managers develop and enrich customer relationships, communicate work flows and deliverables, identify new business opportunities, and drive sales growth through prospecting, customer support, quoting, and business support.

Responsibilities
- Produce sales results as demonstrated through purchase orders and bookings.
- Drive results through prospecting, quoting, price negotiation, customer, and business support.
- Identify products matching organizational capabilities to earn opportunities for new or existing customers.
- Qualify prospects and prioritize quote requests, communicating clear expectations to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure clear understanding of customer needs and coordinate with internal teams (purchasing, project management, quality) on job quotes and estimates.
- Develop and maintain positive partnerships with customers and internal stakeholders to meet Total Customer Satisfaction objectives.
- Translate and deliver technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Place accurate and detailed sales orders into the system to ensure timely processing.
- Mentor new Customer Service Representatives (CSR) and Account Managers within the department.
- Manage assigned accounts (solo or collaboratively) as the primary point of contact.
- Serve as a Senior Account Manager for "key" or "strategic" anchor customers with discretionary decision-making authority.
- Aid in high-level customer negotiations, including Long-Term Agreements (LTA), Master Supplier Agreements (MSA), Purchase Agreements (PA), and contract Terms & Conditions (T&C).
Requirements
- 3+ years of Customer Service or Account Management experience.
- Microsoft Office experience required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Five years of relevant industry experience or a combination of experience and education highly preferred.
- Strong time management and self-directed problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented approach to work.
