Account Manager - Street Lighting

About the role

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is seeking a self-motivated Account Manager - Street Lighting to work with municipal, commercial, or residential customers for street lighting services. The primary focus will be on contracting street lighting products and services directly to external customers and through operations channels. This role involves providing training to customer contact groups, increasing revenue through onboarding new street lighting customers, and developing customer solutions that enhance relationships and improve customer experience. The Account Manager will also interpret and explain street lighting tariffs to customers.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests for street lighting, educate customers on street light products, and complete agreements.
• Manage special markets (e.g., municipal customers) requiring significant client relationship skills.
• Develop project lists and timelines.
• Deliver timely service to customers and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate as a cross-functional team player with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead teams consisting of engineering and/or associate analyst staff through product sales, construction/installation, service, and billing processes.
• Resolve escalated customer issues to achieve resolution.
• Maintain high levels of morale and professional quality customer service.
• Understand the technical components of the street lighting product portfolio and operational processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Business, sales and marketing, or related coursework, and 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of utility operations, programs, tariffs, and related industries.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience implementing a new program, product, or service.

Preferred Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or relevant experience in commercial, municipal, or developer markets.
• Implementation experience, sales experience, and knowledge of the utility industry and operations, including product and service specifications and technical requirements.
• Understanding of how customers select end-use products and the services they value.
• Knowledge of Residential, Commercial, Municipal, or Developer markets.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $82,000.00 - $136,300.00, and it is eligible for annual goal-based incentive bonuses.
