Account Manager - South Texas (Associate level)

Your responsibilities

  • Call on new and existing accounts, identify customer needs, and provide value-added solutions.
  • Stay informed of the market and competitive data and trends, and use this information for presentations and other sales reports.
  • Stay in close contact with accounts, resolving issues and identifying opportunities for enhanced customer performance and effectiveness.
  • Eligible for sales incentives/sales commissions and lead the sale of capital equipment and consumable products.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years’ successful sales experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Solid presentation and public speaking skills, including proper use of grammar and diction
  • General familiarity with sales documents and contracts, purchase orders, and financial spreadsheets and reports
  • Exceptional customer service skills and focus, including the ability to build strong customer partnerships characterized by mutual trust and respect
  • Ability to quickly read the business landscape and recognize the customer’s processes, functions and roles
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to quickly summarize and articulate customer issues and concerns
  • Unwavering integrity and ethics, even during times of high stress and pressure
  • Action-oriented and demonstrate a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to negotiate with both the customer and SteelcoBelimed in mind
  • Effective and efficient time management skills, concentrating on the most important priorities and segmenting accounts based on potential opportunities
  • Highly adaptable to environment
  • Ability to diffuse high-tension situations comfortably
  • Applies creative solutions and ideas when confronted with a challenging situation
  • Basic understanding of organizational and institutional purchasing process requirements
