About the role
This position manages existing refuse sector accounts and generates sales of Clean Energy products and services, focusing on specific market segments.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing refuse contracts and pursue new and renewal contract opportunities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with various prospects, clients, and partners in the natural gas for transportation fuel industry.
- Develop and nurture relationships with local decision-makers such as city council members, fleet managers, and public works directors.
- Educate local communities, city councils, and trade associations about the economic and health benefits of natural gas vehicles.
- Market to new and existing customers through various business solutions, including advertising and special sales events.
- Coordinate planning and execution of marketing promotions.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers, soliciting orders and communicating via phone and email.
- Forecast and estimate demand for proposed projects based on market research and consumer trends.
- Create and deliver proposals and presentations on company services to small, medium, and large groups.
- Draft, develop, negotiate, review, and understand station contracts and fueling agreements.
- Provide input to the management team on new product or service features to meet current and future customer needs.
- Work closely with the Engineering and Operations departments on assigned projects and station operations.
- Keep account activities, CRM records, and literature up-to-date.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 5 years of sales and/or account management experience.
- Experience with reading and understanding financial statements is desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel), Internet, Social Media, and CRM systems (using Microsoft Dynamics).
Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Knowledge, skills, and experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel), Internet, Social Media, and CRM systems (we use Microsoft Dynamics).
