Account Manager II (Automotive OEMs Business)

SEWS — Farmington Hills, Michigan Office. This is a hybrid position, requiring at least four days in the office each week, with flexibility to work off-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer financials, including quoting, obtaining purchase/tool orders, addressing extraordinary costs, and securing customer approval for recovery throughout the program/project life using internal and customer systems.
• Establish and maintain relationships with OEM purchasing, engineering, and program teams as the primary commercial interface.
• Participate in customer program/project team meetings and report financial matters to relevant functional groups.
• Support the development of multi-year OEM business acquisition strategies aligned to vehicle platforms, model cycles, and sourcing timelines.
• Achieve profit objectives consistent with NABU budget.
• Manage pricing using Sumitomo's internal systems.
• Schedule and lead regular Open Issues meetings with customers (Buyers) and support customer program team meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of Sumitomo's products and a general understanding of Sumitomo's manufacturing processes.
• Assist the Sales team in developing new or improved processes and procedures.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of automotive sales account management experience.
• Wire Harness Commercial experience with OEM is preferred.
• Strong financial, analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Ability to be on call to support meetings outside regular hours.
