Responsibilities
- Plan Management
- Pre-renewal activities including benchmarking creation, review, and analysis
- Preparing, communicating, collecting, and analyzing requests for proposal
- Requesting renewals
- Providing administrative support throughout the pre-renewal process
- Carrier confirmation process including written rate confirmations, contract review, and policy provisions
- Managing the implementation of new plans or new carriers
- Create and disseminate written communications for clients including benefit guides and open enrollment materials
- Provide open enrollment support by scheduling and facilitating meetings, and creating and presenting open enrollment and new hire presentations
- Administer the renewal process, analyze plan renewals, and work with carriers and vendors
- Develop, create, and maintain comprehensive analytic data and reports for assigned clients and the Consulting team
- Provide underwriting services for self-funded plans
- Support clients through their decision-making process, manage expectations, and ensure timely communication
- Manage additional projects such as claims audits, implementation of wellness programs, etc.
- Administration
- Schedule, communicate, and attend meetings with SolV team, clients, and vendors
- Document meeting decisions and next steps
- Update and maintain SolV's client project management system
- Collect and file required carrier and vendor reports
- Compliance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable compliance regulations including ERISA, PPACA, COBRA, CAA, and HIPAA
- Respond promptly and thoroughly to client inquiries regarding compliance
- Create and distribute required notices, documents, and filings including federal model notices, 5500s, and wrap and plan documents
- Ensure thorough communication regarding applicable due dates and expectations
- Maintain a working understanding of general Human Resources practices and regulations
- Technology
- Support the maintenance and updating of the client's benefit administration site
- Educate assigned service team on changes in carrier and vendor websites and their functionality
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance or benefits administration
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
