Responsibilities

  • Plan Management
    • Pre-renewal activities including benchmarking creation, review, and analysis
    • Preparing, communicating, collecting, and analyzing requests for proposal
    • Requesting renewals
    • Providing administrative support throughout the pre-renewal process
    • Carrier confirmation process including written rate confirmations, contract review, and policy provisions
    • Managing the implementation of new plans or new carriers
    • Create and disseminate written communications for clients including benefit guides and open enrollment materials
    • Provide open enrollment support by scheduling and facilitating meetings, and creating and presenting open enrollment and new hire presentations
    • Administer the renewal process, analyze plan renewals, and work with carriers and vendors
    • Develop, create, and maintain comprehensive analytic data and reports for assigned clients and the Consulting team
    • Provide underwriting services for self-funded plans
    • Support clients through their decision-making process, manage expectations, and ensure timely communication
    • Manage additional projects such as claims audits, implementation of wellness programs, etc.
  • Administration
    • Schedule, communicate, and attend meetings with SolV team, clients, and vendors
    • Document meeting decisions and next steps
    • Update and maintain SolV's client project management system
    • Collect and file required carrier and vendor reports
  • Compliance
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable compliance regulations including ERISA, PPACA, COBRA, CAA, and HIPAA
    • Respond promptly and thoroughly to client inquiries regarding compliance
    • Create and distribute required notices, documents, and filings including federal model notices, 5500s, and wrap and plan documents
    • Ensure thorough communication regarding applicable due dates and expectations
    • Maintain a working understanding of general Human Resources practices and regulations
  • Technology
    • Support the maintenance and updating of the client's benefit administration site
    • Educate assigned service team on changes in carrier and vendor websites and their functionality

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance or benefits administration
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
