About the Role

As a pivotal member of our account management team, you will cultivate client relationships, ensure their satisfaction, and solidify their dedication to our brand. You will lead your own portfolio of clients, handling day-to-day interactions and becoming their go-to for service. You will work seamlessly across operational teams to deliver top-notch service.
Responsibilities
- Work with colleagues to prepare and send requests for proposals to insurance carriers and compile results.
- Review contracts, benefit plan summaries, and carrier source documents for accuracy, guided by the Account Executive or Advisor, and explore compliance and regulatory policy language.
- Build and maintain client files in accordance with office procedures; keep client policy records.
- Answer questions from clients and/or insurance company personnel, such as ID card requests, claims, or billing inquiries.
- Build ongoing relationships with clients, coordinating with Senior Account Managers, Account Executives, or Advisors.
- Develop relationships with carrier representatives to understand available offerings and recommend solutions to clients.
- Learn vendor/carrier products and services from experienced Account Managers or Account Executives; assist as needed.
- Review and analyze requests for proposals and insurance plan analyses; participate in carrier negotiations and recommend renewal actions, guided by senior team members.
- Assist in drafting renewal presentations.
- Craft and update benefits-related guides and education resources for clients.
- Conduct annual client compliance audits using the NFP portal; assist in preparing documentation.
- Address client requests, including product or vendor service or performance challenges.
- File Form 5500, seeking assistance as needed.
- Participate in client projects such as new business implementation, open enrollment, and inclusivity testing, guided by senior team members.
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for client review.
- Distribute monthly/quarterly newsletters and other briefings.
- Assist with the creation of client corporate wellness programs and offerings.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent); BA/BS preferred.
- More than 3 years of client service and/or industry and product line experience.
- Appropriately licensed or ability to acquire licensing if required.
Skills
- Knowledge of benefits administration, HealthCare Reform, industry trends, and insurance carrier offerings.
- Ability to work independently and anticipate client and team needs.
- Effective time management and decision-making skills.

- Clear written and oral communication abilities.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $65,000 – $75,000. The offered salary will be determined by factors including experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level, scope of the position, and geographic location. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives.
