Account Manager, Commercial Lines (Mavrix)

About the role

The Commercial Account Manager role at Mavrix is responsible for servicing and managing a book of business consisting of small commercial accounts, typically under $10,000 in revenue. This role is client-facing, requiring a mix of technical insurance knowledge, proactive communication, and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day contact for small commercial clients, providing timely and professional service support.
• Manage policy renewals, coverage changes, certificates, billing questions, and other service needs.
• Process endorsements, audits, cancellations, and reinstatements accurately and promptly.
• Cook up summaries and present recommendations in collaboration with producers or franchisees.
• Submit applications and supplementals to carriers for quoting as needed.
• Identify opportunities for coverage improvements or upselling appropriate to client needs.
• Maintain accurate, complete client files in the agency management system (EPIC).
• Ensure all documentation and servicing activity comply with agency standards and E&O best practices.
• Support the transition to Applied digital tools or other client service platforms with a focus on consistency and efficiency.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in commercial lines account management.
• An active P&C license is required.
• Strong knowledge of small commercial lines, including GL, WC, BOP, Auto, and Umbrella.
• Familiarity with agency management systems (preferably EPIC).
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000. The offer will depend on the geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. This role is eligible to participate in an annual bonus program.
