Account Manager, Commercial Insurance

Key Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day servicing of personal lines accounts, including policy lifecycle management.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for insurance products and client servicing processes.
  • Partner with Advisors and internal teams to align client needs with carrier solutions.
  • Market new business, organize underwriting data, and submit and follow up with carriers.
  • Manage renewals, review coverage accuracy, and remarket accounts as needed.
  • Process policy changes, proofs of insurance, and account updates in agency systems.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of client and policy data in systems.
  • Maintain claim files and provide timely updates.
  • Document all client interactions and actions taken.
  • Collaborate with Advisors, underwriters, and claims teams.
  • Support cross-selling efforts by identifying opportunities and sharing leads.
  • Support agency growth through client retention and cross-selling.
  • Participate in meetings and ongoing training to stay current on industry trends.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and service delivery.
  • Maintain knowledge of evolving insurance practices and compliance requirements.
  • Deliver accurate, timely client service and account management outcomes.
  • Maintain high-quality data and documentation standards.
  • Ensure smooth execution of renewals, changes, and claims support.
  • Build strong, trusted client and internal relationships.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years of personal insurance experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A Pennsylvania Property & Casualty Insurance License.
  • Experience with agency management systems (preferred).
  • Strong communication, time management, and prioritization skills (preferred).
