Account Manager - Charleston SC
BenchMark Physical Therapy, a Brand Partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is seeking an Account Manager to join our team in the Charleston, South Carolina market. This role focuses on shaping the future of outpatient physical therapy by driving strategic partnerships, business growth, and expanding our referral network in a region with growing demand from physicians, attorneys, worker’s compensation, community partners, and direct access patients.

This is a relationship-driven position for a healthcare enthusiast with a talent for connecting with physicians and their office staff. You’ll expand our referral network, increase market share, and strengthen our community presence while supporting the mission, vision, and values of Upstream Rehabilitation. The role offers tangible impact, recognition, and growth within a purpose-driven organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an effective call strategy for the assigned region to increase referral outcomes from existing and potential partners.
- Report regularly to the Regional VP of Operations and VP of Sales on plan status, progress, and challenges.
- Communicate frequently and effectively with leadership on goals, strategies, and outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and community leaders in the assigned region.
- Collaborate independently and with Clinic Directors, therapy staff, business office staff, and peers.
- Present company information, service offerings, and outcomes data to existing and potential partners.
- Use reporting and data tools to highlight the clinical excellence and high-quality services provided by our team.
- Identify opportunities for publicity, coordinate community events, and participate in regional meetings as requested.
- Effectively present company information, including outcomes data, using appropriate medical terminology.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in sales.
- 2+ years of sales and marketing experience targeting physicians, medical offices, employers, or related fields.
- Medical/healthcare sales experience is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities in an environment with multiple objectives.
- Confident and persuasive in guiding the sales process.
- Strong ability to connect with customer prospects and sell intangibles such as ideas and concepts.
- Flexible, adaptive, engaging, and enthusiastic.
- Self-starter requiring limited supervision; resourceful, inventive, thorough, and diligent.
- Competitive and determined to win while building business relationships with customers and community leaders.
Conditions
- Travel up to 70% of the time throughout the assigned region.
- Exposure to road travel and clinical environments, including hospitals, physician offices, and clinics.

Pay
$70,000 - $80,000/year. The estimated pay range is based on factors including pay class, experience, background, and geographic location.
