About the role

The Account Manager - Azurance Group is responsible for providing customer support and account management duties to existing Azurance Group accounts. This position serves as a point of contact for existing groups, maintaining positive relationships, and maximizing sales opportunities during the renewal process. This role is the primary seller of new business to Azurance's small employer clients.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains positive relationships with clients and builds favorable relationships.
  • Grows and develops existing accounts and generates new business.
  • Crafts targeted strategies designed to meet specific client needs and provides product recommendations.
  • Maintains knowledge of company products in the employee benefits industry, new service offerings, policies and procedures, and regulations impacting the business.
  • Keeps clients informed about company initiatives and programs highlighting the benefits to the consumer.
  • Collaborates with internal team members to ensure implementation and coordination of the renewal and sales activities are operating smoothly.
  • Maintains necessary documentation and updates appropriate internal systems.
  • Identifies additional sales opportunities during the renewal process.
  • Conducts open enrollment meetings and provides client trainings, if applicable.

Requirements

  • An associate's degree in marketing, business, healthcare or related field is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales, customer-facing, insurance, or related experience.
  • Must have or obtain ND Insurance Producer License, including the passing of the Accident and Health and Life and Annuity exams within 3 months of hire and maintain continuing education requirements annually.
  • Maintain an active and valid/unencumbered driver's license which allows for standard driving privileges in North Dakota and Minnesota.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively interact with customers and build positive relationships.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Applies technical and professional knowledge to perform job responsibilities effectively.
  • Prioritizes tasks and organizes work to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members and cross-functional partners.
  • Applies problem-solving skills to resolve issues and bring situations to closure.

Qualifications

Pay

The estimated starting pay range for this role is $54,500 - $72,000. Offers to candidates are based on various factors such as previous experience, qualifications and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual sales incentive plan. Opportunities for continued salary growth through performance-based incentive programs.
